Our travel designer, Robin, spent three awesome nights exploring Amsterdam and was lucky enough to call The Hoxton Hotel home for her travels! Needless to say, it was truly incredible and she is dishing out all of her favorite elements below.

Why we went:

Amsterdam is probably one of the coolest and trendiest spots in Europe right now and The Hoxton fits right in! This hotel is modern, updated, and so freaking chic I wanted to hire the interior decorator to come to my own home. We chose this specific hotel during our stay because of it’s perfect location and awesome canal views!

What we loved:

Aside from being situated on a great canal and close to just about everything, The Hoxton is so cozy and inviting. The staff was all warm and friendly when checking in and during the duration of our stay. Also, they have an incredible restaurant downstairs that serves trendy, remixes of traditional comfort food meals. They also have a great bar and happy hour menu! The Hoxton Bar was featured on World’s Best Bars during our stay… so you know it’s an Amsterdam hot spot amongst travelers and locals.

How we slept:

The beds were the most comfortable of any bed I slept on during my 5 week Europe trip! That is a HUGE compliment, especially from me who is very particular about hotel beds. But the other perk? Waking up to the warm Amsterdam sunrise over the charming little canals.

What we ate:

Amsterdam has a very eclectic and diverse food scene so we were anxious to check out as many bars and restaurants as possible… Until we had a welcome cocktail and truffle fries from Lotti’s! We came back to this incredible spot just about every day whether it was for a simple drink, light appetizer, morning brunch, or dinner! It was so stinking good… and you could see plenty of locals dining alongside you which means you know it is good!
