It's hard to think of Croatia and not think of it's iconic crystal clear waters! This little slice of paradise is located in Eastern Europe on the beautiful Adriatic Sea. There are no direct flights between the US and Croatia, so plan to have a layover in another European city before flying into Zagreb, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Split or Pula.
Best Times to Visit: during "shoulder season" months of May, June, September, and October
Dubrovnik - Located on the southern-most points of Croatia, Dubrovnik is nestled on the coast of the Adriatic Sea. For all of the pop culture fans, it is also the sight of where Game of Thrones was filmed. Make to schedule some beach time and a trip up the Dubrovnik Cable Car during your trip!
Hvar - This glamorous island is just off the coast of Split, and teeming with friendly locals and crystal clear waters! This coastal escape claims to be the sunniest spot in all of Europe. If you are seeking some beach time without the overwhelming crowds, this island remains relatively secret to travelers and perfect if you are looking for something different.
Trogir - This quiet, small harbor town is the hidden gem of Croatia. Trogir is only 30 minutes away from Split and a great pit stop! It is very small... as in walk from one side of the town to the other in under ten minutes. But what Trogir lacks in size, it makes up for in scenic views, charm, and amazing local restaurants.

Split - Split is the second largest Croatian city and incredibly accessible by plane, boat, or bus. Most attractions are located in Old Town, the cities center. Enjoy a walk along the water on Riva Promenade, see the entire city from atop the Bell Tower, or enjoy the colorful architecture of Old Town. Split is also a great base for day trips and exploring other neighboring islands.
