Best Places to Visit in April

Spring has officially sprung and traveling planning is still in full swing for the Explorateur Travel team!

With so many amazing client’s heading out on incredibly designed vacations, we are rounding up some of the best places to visit in April!

Botswana

If an African safari is on your travel bucket list, Botswana is the spot for you! April is one of the best times to visit this beautiful country because April-October is the dry season which means that game viewing is at it’s very best! The Moremi Game Reserve is in northern Botswana and a great place to spot the big five.

Porto, Portugal

Looking to escape the summer crowds that flock to Portugal for it’s amazing seafood, wine and rooftop bars? April is the best time to do it! Porto is a coastal town in northwest Portugal best known for it’s local production of port wine… hence the name! Spend your spring afternoons strolling the narrow, cobblestone streets and exploring the local boutiques and cafes.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico was hit hard by the latest blast of hurricanes that devastated the Caribbean. And while not all of the country has bounced back from the storms, things in San Juan are back up and running. Spend the day sun tanning at one of the pristine beaches or stroll the gorgeous, pastel colored streets of San Juan. Locals are waiting with open arms because the country could use a tourism boost more than ever!

Savannah, Georgia

Sleepy Savannah is teeming with history, friendly locals, and delicious foods! Savannh is also home to the largest music festival in Georgia - The Savannah Music Festival. Spend the day listening to over 100 artists and soaking in that spring sunshine! Another perk of this southern hot spot? It is only a quick road trip from most southeastern cities like Orlando, Atlanta, and Charleston!

Marrakech, Morocco

Marrakech is a popular destination in April because it’s mild temperature and pre-summer dip in tourism. Morocco is known for it’s beautiful ceramic design details and ultimate desert vibes! Tour this beautiful city from the seat of a vintage sidecar or see the seemingly untouched desert from the back of a camel - but leave your bulky winter coats at home.
